Authentic and high quality sake brand Sake ONO has made its way to UK shores following a new partnership with DrinksOne Brands.

LEADING drinks distributor DrinksOne Brands has announced a new partnership with premium sake brand Sake ONO.

Aiming to make the most out of the rising interest for authentic Japanese drinks, the distributor is set to debut Sake ONO into the UK market and offer consumers with a high quality sake brand.

First launched in April 2024, Sake ONO rolled out with its Junmai Daiginjo blend, the highest grade of sake that requires a great deal of expertise in distilling and has been brewed in the industry-renowned Yoshi No Gawa brewery in Niigata, Japan – which has been in operation since 1548.

Sake ONO is made using just four premium, locally-sourced ingredients: rice, water, yeast and koji – a fermented food that has been made using cooked rice or soybeans.

This partnership marks the first time the brewery has worked with an American organisation, and is now set to deliver the brand to curious adult drinkers across the UK.

Nick Worthington, managing director at DrinksOne, said: “At DrinksOne, we are always looking for brands that embody craftsmanship, quality and a fresh perspective on the drinks industry.

“Sake ONO is a standout example – its meticulous production process, exceptional flavour profile, and modern approach to sake make it a perfect fit for our ultra-premium portfolio.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to championing innovative, high-quality brands, and we look forward to seeing Sake ONO thrive in the UK market.”
