Leading potato supplier Albert Bartlett has teamed up with the upcoming A Minecraft Movie with a new on-pack promotion across its fresh and chilled range.

LEADING potato supplier Albert Bartlett marks the latest brand to team up with Warner Bros. A Minecraft Movie with a new on-pack promotion.

The collaboration with the Scottish firm will see the brand run an on-pack promotion across both its fresh and chilled potato ranges for the first time, with Albert Bartlett Original Rooster and Butter Gold potatoes featuring some eye-catching images from the movie in the fresh section, and its Parmentier Potatoes in the chilled.

Consumers can scan the QR-code found on packs to be in with the chance of winning in both a weekly and grand final prize draw – which will take place at the end of the promotional period on 6 April.

Hundreds of prizes are up for grabs as part of the promotion including movie merchandise such as Minecraft plushies and caps, Xbox consoles as well as the grand prize of a UK adventure holiday for a family of four people.

The on-pack promotion will be backed by significant marketing spend on an out-of-home, social, digital, in-store and PR campaign. Further to this, this marks the first chilled product promotion from Albert Bartlett, as the firm said it hopes the partnership will attract new customers into the chilled category.

Thomas McInally, senior brand manager at Albert Bartlett, said: “Excitement is growing around the highly anticipated launch of ‘A Minecraft Movie’. This collaboration will see us target both fresh and chilled shoppers in our first ever cross-category on-pack promotion, giving consumers the chance to win hundreds of prizes.

“We look forward to inspiring both new and existing consumers into crafting the ultimate meals with our potatoes.”
