Scottish Bee aims to highlight the natural goodness of honey
LOCAL producer The Scottish Bee Company is set to shine a light on the good and natural sugars of its honey range with its new B-Fuel Honey Energy Gel product.
Aiming to appeal to the sports nutrition market, the new sachets offer 25g of carbs and contain natural antimicrobial properties which help to foster beneficial bacteria in the body and support good health.
Further to this, each sachet is made using natural Scottish heather honey which offer similar nutritional benefits of the already-popular Manuka honey, which supplies 10 times more manganese than everyday honey alternatives, including anti-inflammatory help which supports swifter recovery.
Suzie Miller, co-founder of The Scottish Bee Company, said: “Everyone knows about the countless benefits of quality honey as a trusted spread, porridge topping, baking & cooking essential and sore throat remedy, but as a sports aid honey has historically hidden its light under a bushel.Â
“We wanted to add an easy-to-use squidgy sachet of best-in-class honey that can be effortlessly consumed mid-run or workout. There is so much caffeine and synthetic gloop in the marketplace; we just wanted to remind people that as with so many things, Nature often has the answer.”
