Ben & Jerry’s launches a Rhapsody of flavour options

Duo rolls out with a flavour fit for Queen

Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s has announced the return of its Bohemian Raspberry flavour in partnership with UK rock band Queen, alongside a new Sundae option.

ICE cream brand Ben & Jerry’s is set to mark the crowning achievement of massive UK rock band Queen with the return of its Bohemian Raspberry flavour.

Launched in partnership with Queen to mark the 50th anniversary of Queen’s iconic song Bohemian Rhapsody, the new non-dairy ice cream includes fudgy brownies and rich raspberry swirls through a non-dairy vanilla ice cream.

The collaboration is set to tap into the rising demand for more berry and raspberry flavours across products, which has generated more than 18million searches online during 2024, says Unilever.

Proceeds from Bohemian Raspberry are set to go directly to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, which helps to fund the global fight against AIDs and was set up by band members Brian May, Roger Taylor and Jim Beach in memory of Freddie Mercury, who died from the disease.

Available across grocery, convenience and wholesale channels in January, the new Ben & Jerry’s Bohemian Raspberry comes in a 465ml Tub with an RRP of £5.75.

Further to this, the Unilever-owned brand has also unveiled its latest addition to the Ben & Jerry’s Sundaes range with its extra indulgent Brookies & Cream Sundae.

The new launch brings together two of the brand’s biggest flavours for the first time – Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie – into one tub, with a creamy vanilla ice cream packed full of fudgy brownie-style cookie dough, golden cookie swirls with white ampersand-shaped chocolate chunks. The new flavour comes in a 427ml tub with an RRP of £5.75.

Flo Howell, country business lead at Ben & Jerry’s UK, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce two fantastic new ice creams from Ben & Jerry’s.

“First up, Bohemian Raspberry is making a comeback, as a Non-Dairy flavour. We first launched Bohemian Raspberry back in 2007 after a fan’s suggestion, and what could be more rock ‘n’ roll than bringing it back to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bohemian Rhapsody.

“Brookies & Cream Sundae embodies our belief that good things are even better together. Combining cookies and brownies was a no-brainer for us, and consumer testing showed it’s a hit.”
