Jisp enhances its Scan & Save loyalty scheme

New barcode scanning software to boost expansion

Jisp has rolled out a new barcode scanning software across its Scan & Save feature, in a bid to offer consumers a more seamless experience when using the app.

RETAIL tech firm Jisp has invested in new barcode scanning software to help optimise its in-app loyalty programme for consumers.

The goal of this investment aims to make shopping much easier for consumers and retailers alike, whilst also helping them to save on money.

The company said its previous scanning tech’s fee was priced per device, meaning its ability to scale across different people’s phones was hampered in providing a seamless service for all consumers.

To help accommodate the high-volume of usage, Jisp has sought a vendor with a flat pricing model that can provide loyalty solutions across a range of phones, without being hobbled by device charges.

Customers have already completed more than 5million scans as part of Jisp’s Scan & Save programme, meaning the new service needed to be seamless with an intuitive and reliable barcode reader.

Jisp also said the upgraded scanner feature proved to be more accurate and reliable for consumers to use, which has led to a substantial amount of time being saved and zero support requests coming in.

Roll out of the new system happened fast as well, with Jisp successfully having already implemented the software and tested the Scanbot SDK within a month, with help from the firm’s dedicated support team.

Alex Rimmer, director of marketing & communications at Jisp, said: “As we move into the next stage of its evolution with a focus on sustainable, scalable growth through our five business units, the ability to expand user reach efficiently and cost-effectively was essential.

“ScanBot has enabled us to take that next step on our journey through fantastic support and an outstanding product.”
