New take on the traditional Advent offer
ADVENT is set to be a lot sweeter as Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) confectionery brand Chupa Chups launches its first-of-its-kind advent calendar.
Bursting with daily sweet surprises, the festive treat brings a playful twist to the traditional countdown and taps into gifting and sharing occasions with consumers, says PVM, making it a key addition to retailers’ holiday range this year.
And the new launch could be a popular one for the season as Circana data for the Christmas period last year saw Chupa Chups grow ahead of the sweets category achieving a significant 15.8% increase in value sales and a rise of 24.2% in unit sales – when compared to the overall category’s performance.
Each of the 24 doors in the calendar holds a different Chupa Chups treat for consumers from the classic lollipops the brand is best known for to jellies and bubble-gum variants to ensure that the Advent season remains surprising for consumers.
Each advent calendar comes with an RRP of £6.99 and will be available through CJ Lang & Son, World of Sweets as well as in B&M stores.
