Two pieces of festive innovation from confectioner
SWEETS giant Mars Wrigley has brought a boost to the festive sweet tooth this year with two pieces of innovation for its Christmas range.
Aiming to drive up self-treat opportunities, the firm has launched a new M&M’s Crispy Milk Chocolate Santa Treat for this year. Coming in a 29g single pack at and RRP of 65p, the new festive treat comes in a milk chocolate Santa shape, filled with creamy vanilla with crispy pieces and M&M’s Minis.
The launch will also be supported by an above-the-line marketing campaign on social media as well as via out-of-home advertising from early October with further POS materials available for retailers.
And Mars hasn’t been shy when it comes to support for the gifting opportunity with the launch of the new Twix & Friends Medium Selection Box.
Ideal for seasonal gifting, the new selection box has an RRP of £2.75 and contains a Twix Milk Chocolate Caramel, one Twix Salted Caramel fun-size bar, one Twix White Chocolate fun-size bar, one M&M’s Chocolate fun-size bag as well as one Milky Way Magic Stars fun-size bag.
The assortment of goodies is available nationwide and presented in festive cardboard packaging to make it an ideal festive season gift. The launch will also be supported by a media plan with an investment of over £8million.
Laura O’Neill, Christmas & gifting senior brand manager at Mars Wrigley, said: “At Mars Wrigley we are continually looking to bring new products to the market that both cater to evolving consumer demand and drive category growth and excitement.
“Chocolate plays an important role during many key seasonal rituals, from small festive gifts to daily delights and as such, seasonal and gifting is worth £1.8billion of total chocolate value sales.
“Our new launches for Christmas 2024 tap into different shopper needs and will appeal to consumers looking to purchase their favourite brands and products with a seasonal twist.”
