Bringing in extra taste through new sauces
MAYONNAISE brand Hellmann’s has expanded on its range of condiment options with the launch of two new sauces exclusively to Asda stores.
Aiming to build on the consumer appetite to try something new and be more experimental with foods, the Unilever-owned brand has launched its new Spicy Mexican Inspired Sauce and Sweet & Sour Sauce variants to Asda stores.
Both variants have an RRP of £2.60 each, are suitable for vegans and the Sweet & Sour Sauce is also gluten-free. Both bottles are fully recyclable and made using 100% recycled materials.
The new Spicy Mexican sauce offers consumers a fiery kick for their meals with a blend of tomatoes, jalapeños, red chilli peppers and spices for a versatile sauce that can be paired with traditional Mexican dishes such as fajitas, nachos and tacos.
Whereas the Sweet & Sour sauce bring a blend of apricots, vinegar and spices to offer a balance of sweet and tangy notes. Unilever reckons this sauce will be a particular favourite for those shoppers aiming to build up their ‘fakeaway’ dishes.
A spokesperson for Unilever said: “The launch comes at a tome when consumers are becoming increasingly experimental with using global flavours at home, seeking bold and diverse taste without sacrificing the familiarity of reliable brands.
“Hellmann’s is continuing its commitment to providing a superior table sauce range with the two additions, having already established itself as a leader in the flavoured sauces category.
“Seeing the brand’s range grow 37% over the last year, there is a clear opportunity for Hellmann’s to continue driving growth into the category.”
