AMERICAN confectionery brand Reese’s is aiming to get UK shoppers into the spirit of the Halloween season with an interactive competition and three new SKUs.

From now to 7 November 2024, participants in the “Become a Reese’s Treat” nationwide campaign have the chance to win prizes including a one-of-a-kind sculpture of their head and shoulders crafted entirely out of the iconic sweet and salty combination of chocolate and peanut butter.

Fans can enter by scanning a QR code available on Reese’s in-store adverts at point of sale or by following a link shared on Reese’s UK social media channels.

One lucky winner will be immortalized in delicious fashion with chocolate sculptures created by Jen Lindsey-Clark and her team at Chocolatician, renowned creators of edible art such as the Willy Wonka Chocolate Statue and Chocolate King Charles Bust. This lucky winner will also receive a £5,000 cash prize, adding a sweet treat to their Halloween festivities.

Jackson Hitchon, general manager of Europe and world travel retail at Reese’s parent firm, The Hershey Company, said: “Halloween is becoming more popular every year in the UK, with double-digit growth (+12%) in consumer spending reported for Halloween 2023 by Kantar.

“Reese’s is the perfect brand to make sure your party is unforgettable, and your house is the best on the block. The ‘Become a Reese’s Treat’ competition is an exciting way to engage with our consumers and ensure Reese’s remains a top choice during this vibrant seasonal event.”

The Halloween-themed SKUs includes Reese’s Skeletons Snack Sizes (257g, RRP £4.50) at Sainsbury’s, Reese’s Pumpkins King Size (68g, RRP £1.25) at Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda, and Reese’s Cup Snack Sizes (297g) RRP £4.50 at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda.

The brand reckons these special SKUs provide a delicious way to enjoy Halloween, making them perfect for parties, guising, trick-or-treaters or personal snacking moments.
