INDEPENDENT bottling firm The Single Cask has rolled out a unique single malt launch with Teaninich Distillery to help drive up support for industry charity The Drinks Trust.

Priced at £79 per bottle, the new “ultra rare” release is a 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky that has been distilled by the Alness distillery, with all proceeds from the launch going direct to The Drinks Trust.

The new bottling is only one of 54 bottles available from The Single Cask and has been finsihed in a Madeira wine barrel. The 10-year-old also falls under The Single Cask’s ‘Playful’ mood category as part of the bottling firm’s initiative to encourage exploration within the whisky category for consumers.

The colourful label on the bottle aims to communicate this ‘Playful’ mood, with pineapple designs across it to highlight the fruity nature of the dram inside, which The Single Cask has described as offering a fresh, fruity nose of passion fruit with honey syrup and a citrus tang of blood orange and delicate spices.

Money made from the launch is set to be donated directly to The Drinks Trust, which is a charity that aims to both empower the drinks and hospitality industries with financial services, wellbeing support and industry training.

Jan Damen, general manager at The Single Cask, said: “Charities like The Drinks Trust offer outstanding support to our industry. We are very proud of our collaboration and delighted to help wherever we can.

“We love working with inspiring people doing good for the drinks industry and that’s exactly what The Drinks Trust does. The Single Cask only bottles exciting and entertaining whiskies worth talking about, and this ‘Ultra Rare’ release is definitely worth talking about.”

Ross Carter, chief executive of The Drinks Trust, said: “Our collaborations with donors, including The Single Cask, are rapidly evolving and enabling the delivery of crucial funds and services to our beneficiaries facing hardship.

“These partnerships also assist businesses in achieving their CSR goals, benefitting the entire industry and raising the charity’s profile, allowing us to extend our reach and impact even further.”
