Health drives straight to the doorstep from HLP
LEADING convenience store delivery app Snappy Shopper has teamed up with the Healthy Living Programme (HLP) to help deliver free bananas to consumers throughout August.
The new innovative collaboration between the two teams aims to support healthier choices for Scottish shoppers and encourage further community engagement between local retailers and their shoppers.
To kick off the partnership, Snappy Shopper and HLP will offer free bananas every Wednesday across the month of August with the aim of supporting families across Scotland and easing the transition back to school for children.
Kathryn Neil, programme director of the HLP, said: “This partnership with Snappy Shopper allows us to extend our reach and make a tangible difference to the lives of many people.
“Our goal is to encourage healthier eating habits and, by working together, we can provide practical support to communities across Scotland.”
Further to this, the partnership looks to promote more healthy eating habits among consumers. To do so, consumers will also receive educational materials on the benefits of healthy eating and tips to help maintain a healthy, balanced diet alongside their bananas.
And the timing works perfectly, says the HLP team, who reckon that the partnership will make a positive difference across Scotland as families make the steady return to school across August.
By combining both the strengths of the HLP’s expertise in promoting wellbeing and Snappy’s expansive scope across retail stores in Scotland, the new promotion will help to support communities in new ways and further build that connection between convenience retailers and their local areas.
Mike Callachan, chief exec of Snappy Shopper, said: “We’re delighted to join forces with the Healthy Living Programme. Our shared commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of communities makes this partnership a natural fit.
“By providing free bananas every Wednesday in August, we’re not only supporting healthy choices but also helping families during a crucial time of year.”
