Ice cream brand celebrates new look on pack
SCOTTISH Italian ice cream brand Equi’s has unveiled a cheeky new look across its ice cream packs as the firm rolls out three new flavours exclusive to its stores.
The ice cream producer – headquartered in Rutherglen, Glasgow – has updated its logo on packs featuring an image of Michaelangelo’s Statue of David but with a Glaswegian twist to it.
Each image of the statue features an ice cream cone on the head of the statue in a nod to the iconic Duke of Wellington traffic cone photo.
As part of the rebrand for Equi’s, the ice cream firm has also rolled out three new flavours exclusive to its stores including Strawberry Cheesecake, Pistachio Swirl and Chocolate Hazelnut & Raspberry.
The three new variants join Equi’s list of 50+ ice creams at its independent parlour stockists including Equi’s Hamilton, Equi’s Motherwell, Gladstones Land Edinburgh, Crave Dundee, Promenade Cafe, Aberdeen as well as many more across the country.
Equi’s said the new flavours come as part of the ice cream firm’s growth ambitions, which include a projected growth of more than 40% by 2027, taking them from a £3.5million turnover company to £5million.
David Equi, owner of Equi’s Ice Cream, said: “We consider ourselves innovators when it comes to Scottish ice cream, and we know our customers are always keen to try new and different things, so we’re thrilled to be launching three delicious new flavours – and we’re given ourselves a makeover!
“We wanted our new look to reflect the pride we feel in both our Scottish and Italian heritage but also stay true to our fin, cheeky ethos that we’re known and loved for.
“We can’t wait for people to taste the new selection and hear what they think – Pistachio Swirl has already been a huge hit with the team!”
