Wishaw outlet ‘provides the future of retail’
CENTRAL belt retail chain Premier RaceTrack Pitstop has opened its new Wishaw outlet, bringing its total estate to 11 stores.
The new store, found in the Wishaw Retail Park, marks the next step in the RaceTrack Pitstop brand, according to the chain’s retail manager Guna Sud, who believes the latest store exemplifies where the future of convenience retail lies.
He said: “We’re over the moon to get our Wishaw store open. It’s been a long time coming and a massive team effort, so we’re so glad to see everything pay off.
“We also really have to thank the guys at Premier who really pushed this through to launch, as well as the RaceTrack team.”
A new destination store for the people of Wishaw and the surrounding local area, the store offers the latest innovations for the RaceTrack brand, including its Speed Queen Laundromat facilities and a self-serve kiosk for Hoagies, the chain’s food-to-go brand.
The Speed Queen services provide shoppers with an ideal laundromat service that allows for the washing to be done during their shop, allowing them to complete two chores at once.
Meanwhile, the Hoagies kiosk allows shoppers to order hot food-to-go, including offerings such as nachos and pizza.
To celebrate the launch of the store, customers were given the chance to win some massive prizes, including a new iPad, an Ooni pizza oven as well as a 60-second Supermarket Sweep-style dash through the store to fill up a trolley with goodies, provided by Booker.
Shoppers could also bag some free fruit from the Healthy Living Programme, as well as goodes provided by AG Barr and Cadbury.
Guna said: “It’s the next stage for RaceTrack but also the next stage for convenience.
“Gone are the days where it was about selling tins of beans, now you need to have that point of difference to bring shoppers in. We believe we’ve delivered on this with our food-to-go range with Hoagies and Tubbees.
“And now, with Speed Queen, we’ve got another reason for consumers to come in to do their shopping at RaceTrack.”
