Danish chocolatier Anthon Berg has ordered a double celebration this year as the brand celebrates two special anniversaries this year.

DANISH-BORN chocolate liqueur brand Anthon Berg has ordered a double celebration as the brand hits two landmark anniversaries this year.

Fist founded in 1884, Anthon Berg is not only marking its 140th anniversary this year but also 100 years of crafting its most popular product, the iconic liqueur filled bottle.

Owned by Toms International – a Danish confectionery firm – Anthon Berg is distributed by World of Sweets in the UK with a wide range of chocolate liqueur options available for retailers to stock in their stores.

This includes pack sizes of four, eight, 12, 16, 21 and 24-piece formats with RRPs ranging from £4.99 to £23.49 making them ideal for gifting opportunities or for consumers that are seeking a more boozy taste from the evening’s chocolate selection.

The brand has worked with some well-kent alcohol brands over the years as well including The Famous Grouse, Southern Comfort, Cointreau, Mount Gay Barbados Rum as well as a wide range of others.

Even responding to current consumer demands in the off-trade, the brand has also launched a Chocolate Cocktails range which includes flavours such as Cosmopolitan, Mojito, Espresso Martini, Vodka Mule, Piña Colada and Lemon Drop.

And brand new for this year, Anthon Berg has teamed up its marzipan offer with the Baileys Irish Cream brand.

The new launch features a marzipan round covered in Anthon Berg milk chocolate with a swirl of dark chocolate as decoration and the taste of Baileys cream liqueur.

Not only does this mark 100 years of the iconic liqueur chocolate production but also Anthon Berg’s longer 140 year history of working with marzipan.

The dual-branded gift box includes seven individually wrapped pieces with an RRP of £8.49, making it an ideal Christmas gifting option giving the popularity of the liqueur during the season.

Chris Smith, partner brand manager at World of Sweets, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating 100 years of Anthon Berg’s iconic liqueur-filled bottle and 140 years of the acclaimed brand.

“The iconic Danish confectionery brand brings a whole new market for our products and allows us to expand our offering.

“Since partnering with the brand, they have been popular among a whole host of retailers, including garden centres and their gifting offering.

“For convenience retailers, we recommend four and five piece gift box formats. Adding more luxurious gifting items into your range is a great way to maximise sales and appeal to customers looking for something extra special for loved ones.

“As an internationally acclaimed brand with an exciting product range they appeal to both retailers and their customers.”
