We highlight new products that Scottish c-store retailers might want to stock

WEETABIX Food Company has expanded on its Weetos range once again with the launch of Weetos Chocolate and Honeycomb flavour.

Available in 420g packs, the new cereal will go on sale in Asda stores initially before rolling out nationwide at other major groceries.

Weetabix reckons its latest product presents a key opportunity for retailers across the country to entice new consumers and delight exisitng ones.

The firm said the limited-edition variant will help to capitalise on what is already considered an on-trend flavour in the market, as a survey by food flavour manufacturer Symrise identified honeycomb as a popular combination with chocolate for shoppers.

The launch will be supported through in-store promotions and merchandising to ensure Weetos Chocolate and Honeycomb is unmissable in the aisles.

2. Divine The Dessert Bar

CHOCOLATE maker Divine has launched its new range of Dessert Bars to capitalise on a new indulgent, premium chocolate offer.

Coming in Cherry & Almond Bakewell, Tiramisu and Lemon Cheesecake flavours, each Dessert Bar features the brand’s signature smooth and 100% dark, milk or white Fairtrade chocolate.

Each bar has an RRP of £4.49 and are currently available on Divine’s online store and Amazon.

Sophie Loveday-Davies, group marketing director at Divine, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be sharing our new range of Dessert Bars with fellow chocolate lovers. We know that in increasingly challenging times, the power of the ‘pudding effect’ is more evident than ever before, with people looking for small, tasty treats to brighten the day-to-day.”

3. Twix Secret Centre Biscuits

MARS Chocolate Drinks & Treats (MCD&T) has unveiled its new Twix Secret Centre Biscuits.

The new Twix branded biscuits come in 132g packs at £1.69 RRP and is expected to roll out across wholesale and convenience channels in March and April.

The new treat combines biscuit, chocolate and caramel to bring consumers the popular chocolate bar into a new biscuit format. The range also includes Mars and Bounty variants

Michelle Frost, general manager at MCD&T, said: “We expect the new Twix Secret Centre Biscuits to accelerate this growth even further, bringing Twix fans to the biscuit aisle.”

4. Nocco Focus Grand Sour

FUNCTIONAL energy drink brand Nocco has expanded on its Focus range of drinks with a new citrus based flavour.

The new Nocco Focus Grand Sour combines lemon and elderflower with a hint of apple to provide a sour-sweet boost for consumers needing the extra focus.

It also contains 180mg of caffeine to help improve concentration as well as Vitamins B12 and B6 along with Niacin which help to fight off feelings of tiredness and fatigue.

A spokesperson for Nocco said: “Many start the year by committing to new routines, projects, or goals. Nocco Grand Sour is for all of those who want to stay focused on what’s ahead of them.”
