GIVING back to those loved ones this Easter is the aim for Mondelēz International, as the firm has rolled out its egg selection for this year.

The firm reckons its Cadbury ‘Surprise & Delight’ range will make for a strong asset for retailers, with a raft of new products for 2024.

Susan Nash, trade communications manager at Mondelēz, said: “There are six different Cadbury eggs available as part of the ‘Surprise & Delight’ range, namely Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons, White Buttons, Freddo Faces, Caramel Nibbles, Giant Buttons and Cadbury Mini Egg Easter Eggs.

“Shell eggs are an egg-stremely valuable opportunity for retailers to strengthen their seasonal sales.”

However, it’s not all about the shell here and Mondelēz reckons there will still be plenty of those looking for a nostalgic centre this Easter.

As such, the firm believes shoppers will get what they are looking for with the launch of its new-for-2024 Cadbury Creme Egg Bar.

Nash said: “As one of the UK’s favourite Easter SKUs, the Cadbury Creme Egg brand sees buy in from one in four households during the Easter season, allowing it to achieve an incredible brand awareness of 95%.

“With this new tablet format added to the catalogue, perfect for both sharing and self-treat occasions, retailers will be able to use the irresistible allure of the Cadbury Creme Egg to drive their fast start to the season and repeat purchase rate.”

FARMER-OWNED Fairtrade chocolate maker Divine has launched three new products for Easter.

A brace of Flat Eggs are available in either Smooth Milk Chocolate Caramel & Crunch or Smooth Dark Chocolate Raspberry flavours, with an RRP of £5 each.

Divine says the Flat Eggs retain the same shape and size as a classic hollow Easteregg but they are more environmentally friendly, with packaging cut by more than 40% compared with a traditional boxed egg.

And their shape means they make an ideal letterbox gift for chocolate lovers.

The range is alsopalm-oil free and uses 100% Fairtrade chocolate, with the dark chocolate variant also vegan-friendly.

Alongside the egg duo is a limited-edition 180g Joyful Hot Cross Bun Bar, with an RRP of £4.50. Divine says this consists of smooth milk chocolate, studded with juicy raisins and spiced biscuit pieces to bring together the classic flavours of Easter.

A spokesperson said: “The Hot Cross Bun Bar is a Divine duo of Easter’s most exceptional indulgences.”
