Sharing National Curry Week with the community
AMBIENT sauce brand Sharwood’s is celebrating National Curry Week with the launch of a retailer exclusive competition.
Two retailers across the UK are in with the chance to host a meal to help bring their customers together with the entire dinner catered for by Sharwood’s.
The lucky winners can invite up to 30 people for a lunch or dinner made by brand owner Premier Foods’ in house chefs with the venue and refreshments also provided by Sharwood’s.
The competition is open to all Unitas and Bestway customers and to enter, retailers simply need to buy one case of any Sharwood’s products until 8 October for Unitas or until 12 October for Bestway. They then must fill in their details on a specific customer webpage.
Courtney Lewis, customer director for discounters, Spar and wholesale at Premier Foods, said: “Our latest competition will give retailers a chance to create an unforgettable experience for their neighbourhood.
“Convenience stores are integral to their communities, and we want to help retailers give back to their shoppers to help celebrate this year’s National Curry Week.
“The Sharwood’s brand looking to bring people together on a taste adventure, and we want to demonstrate our continued commitment to supporting the channel through this initiative.”
National Curry Week is set to take place between 2 and 8 October this year marking an opportunity for retailers to drive up some extra sales with the category in stores.
Lewis said: “It’s important for us to help independent retailers maximise calendar events such as National Curry Week and the meal for tonight opportunity continues to be a key mission for those shopping in their local convenience store for easy and great tasting dinners.
“We encourage retailers to keep this in mind not just during National Curry Week but all year round, offering cross category promotions and stocking the Sharwood’s range to fulfil consumers’ needs when looking to create a meal at home.”
