HOT food-to-go brand Rollover has expanded on its range of burgers with a double helping in the buns.

Rolling out across the range, Rollover has launched a new Cheeseburger and Double Cheeseburger across its forecourt, convenience retail and food service outlets.

The beef patties in both of the new additions are quarter pounders and served with slices of cheese in Rollover’s artisanal, hand-finished buns.

The beef patties come in a pre-cooked, frozen format that will make them quick and easy to prepare, according to Rollover.

The new launches come as Rollover noted a surge in popularity for burger options across the UK, citing Kantar data that found that 63% of the population of Great Britain purchase burgers at least once a month.

Burgers have also been found to add a significant amount in value to the food service industry as well, with a value of £2.5billion in the channel alone.

Further to this, the same data revealed that beef burgers remained the king in the category, providing 65% of total burger sales in food service.

Rollover said that the two new launches provide a great opportunity for outlets to offer a range of products that will meet this growing demand.

The cheeseburgers come in fully recyclable, biodegradable and compostable packaging made from a combination of wrapping paper and a cardboard tray.

In addition to the two new cheeseburger variants, Rollover also includes plain Beef Burger in its range as well as a plant-based Meat Free burger option.

This new expansion to the range will allow food outlets the opportunity to capitalise on the number one main meal option in the food service industry, according to Rollover.

Elodie Bretz, head of marketing at Rollover, said: “The popularity of burgers has continued to boom over the years and shows no signs of slowing down.

“Now, burgers are the number one main meal in out of home, so extending our burger range was the natural next step for Rollover.”

The new Cheeseburgers and Double Cheeseburgers are now available across stores and forecourts as well as football stadiums, including in a trial in Elland Road Stadium, as Rollover gears up to roll out the new additions to venues and sports stadiums in the UK.

Bretz added: “In early trials with customers, the Cheeseburgers have already proven to be a great success. I’m delighted that football fans can already get their hands on our new Cheeseburgers at Elland Road Stadium in Leeds, and I look forward to seeing the rollout to forecourts and stores nationwide.”
