Health comes packed in Yakult Plus

Range moves to eight packs with new Yakult launch

Each bottle of Yakult Plus packs in 20 billion friendly bacteria to improve health.

FERMENTED milk brand Yakult has launched a new citrus-flavoured variant of its gut health drink. Yakult Plus comes in the brand’s familiar 65ml bottle.

Packing in 20billion friendly bacteria into the small bottle, Yakult said the new Plus variant is fat-free, gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians.

And like the rest of the Yakult range, the new Plus drink is only 30 calories per bottle.

Yakult said the new green design across the new eight-pack format will help it to stand out further on shelf in comparison to its other lines.

Alongside this new launch, the firm also said they would be moving seven packs of 65ml bottles of Yakult and Yakult Light to the eight packs.

The cardboard packaging for the new eight packs is fully recyclable as well.

Hiroaki Yoshimura, MD for Yakult UK & Ireland, said: “When it comes to our wellbeing, every day, little things can make a powerful difference – from the food we eat, to the activities we take part in.

“This is why we are thrilled to be able to play an even bigger role in supporting wellbeing, as we launch Yakult Plus.

“With its fresh look, a brand new taste and the added benefits of vitamin C and fibre, we’re confident that Yakult Plus will easily find a place in our customers’ wellbeing routines.

“Additionally, being able to offer bigger consumer packs in recyclable packaging is a bonus.”
