Bringing variety to strawberry cider flavours
KOPPARBERG is banking on NPD for the summer ahead to capitalise on Scottish cider sales this year.
Noting VYPR research that found 80% of fruit cider drinkers were actively looking for new and different flavours from the category, the drinks firm is keen to make the most of this with strawberry flavours.
Kopparberg has launched a Strawberry Variety Pack exclusive to the Tesco Group with two new flavours included.
Alongside the brand’s Strawberry & Lime flavour, new Strawberry & Pineapple and Strawberry & Mango variants are included in the 10-pack as Kopparberg said it looks to bring a smoother and sweeter blend of flavours with its strawberry line-up.
The Strawberry & Pineapple variant is also available outside of the Strawberry Variety pack as a 330ml can four-pack, too.
Both are available to buy now in Tesco Group stores, including Booker wholesale outlets.
The addition of two new flavours for Kopparberg couldn’t have come at a better time for the brand as IRI Marketplace data found a rise in demand for fruit cider flavours, with Kopparberg predicted to uplift sales more than any other brand.
Rob Salvesen, head of marketing at Kopparberg, said: “Strawberry & Lime has been one of the brand’s most successful variants since it landed in the UK. And because of this, we wanted to put a spin on our famous strawberry flavour that we know our fans love with the introduction of Pineapple and Mango.
“We can’t wait for our fans to try these flavours for the first time and hope our strawberry series is here to stay, much like the original.”
