Kingsbarns Distillery launches Doocot whisky
THE award-winning Kingsbarns Distillery has unveiled a new flagship whisky called Doocot.
It is the first global launch for the Fife whisky brand, which unveiled Doocot in 34 markets across the UK, Europe and the United States simultaneously.
Doocot is matured in a combination of former Bourbon and shaved, toasted and re-charred ex-Portuguese red wine casks.
The whisky is described as having “a beautiful combination of pineapple syrup, and summer berries with a hint of rhubarb” in terms of taste.
The lowland single malt is bottled at 46% ABV and is on sale via the Kingsbarns Distillery website with an RRP £45.
Distillery founder William Wemyss said: “Doocot has been years in the making. We’ve spent a lot of time perfecting the distilling process to make sure we’ve crafted the perfect finish.
“As we transition into the warmer months, Doocot is the perfect, refreshing, fruity dram that is guaranteed to take whisky fans on a stunning flavour journey – we hope customers love it as much as we do.”
