NISA is set to donate £100,000 to good causes to help celebrate the King’s Coronation.
The symbol’s charity, Making a Difference Locally, will launch a fifth round of its Heart of the Community Awards to provide good causes with funding.
There will be two funding opportunities as part of the awards with 100 donations of up to £500 available as part of the awards. Funding can go towards community celebrations organised by the groups or for volunteering projects.
Retailers under the Nisa symbol will be able to put forward or nominate local groups or charities to receive one of the donations to help fund different activities for the organisations.
Nominations are open until 14 March with winners to be announced in April.
Each winner will receive up to £500 and past winners or nominees of the Heart of the Community Awards can also be put forward.
Kate Carroll, head of charity at Nisa, said: “We witnessed only last year what an amazing impact the Heart of the Community Awards had during the Platinum Jubilee on our communities and the Coronation promises to have another significant impact this year.
“We want to help by bringing communities together to celebrate what will be the first-ever coronation in many of our lifetimes.
“We are also delighted to be able to provide funding for the Big Help Out day following the coronation.”
