HEALTH has remained a key consumer trend in the wake of the Covid pandemic, says energy drinks firm Carabao.
A spokesperson said: “As we enter 2023, Carabao expects this to continue with consumers opting for healthier alternatives and seeking lower sugar products, especially true at the start of the year as consumers embark on new year’s resolutions around health and fitness.
“And as the cost of living continues to rise, value is still very much a key consumer trend, so retailers need to ensure they are positioning great value products at the front of shelves.”
Carabao launched a new Mango Burst flavour in 2022, with a new, improved formula.
The spokesperson explained: “Carabao has removed aspartame from the new flavour as well as substituting synthetic colours and flavours for natural alternatives.
“The new healthy formula is set to be rolled out across its core range of fruit-flavoured energy drinks in 2023.”
The Carabao Trade Portal has recently been created and gives businesses access to trade discounts and allows them to place low-volume orders of Carabao’s newly launched 500ml PET bottles on selected delivery dates.
