FLAVOURED milk drinks continue to perform strongly across retail channels, according to market research.
IRI data for the 52 weeks to 9 July found that flavoured milk sales had grown by 22% when compared with last year, reaching a total worth of £526 million.
With a clear popularity for the category showing no signs of slowing down, Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats reckons Scottish retailers in particular will stand to benefit from its own range of flavoured milks.
The same IRI data also found that Mars milk sales grew by 18% year-on-year across the Scottish retail sector alone.
MCD&T reckons this shows a clear demand for the brand in the Scottish retail market and recommends retailers to stock up on its range of confectionery-inspired flavours.
MCD&T’s selection of flavoured milks includes Mars, Mars Caramel, Maltesers, Milky Way, Twix, Snickers, Bounty, M&M’s Brownie and Galaxy.
Michelle Frost, general manager at MCD&T, said: “Our range of milk drinks enable consumers to enjoy some of their favourite confectionery brands in a different format.”
