SANDWICH brand Urban Eat has expanded its offer with the addition of a new Sub Roll range to its portfolio.

Urban Eat’s new Sub Roll range comprises three variants: an improved Ham & Cheese; Chicken Salad; and Tuna Crunch.

According to Urban Eat, the Ham & Cheese roll represents an improvement on an existing recipe, while Chicken Salad and Tuna Crunch are the first in a line of NPD coming to the convenience channel.

Filling isn’t the only area where Urban Eat has sought to improve its offer. The brand has reformulated its Sub Roll, which is now larger than before and features a glazed top.

Urban Eat said it has a “pipeline” of innovation and improvements planned for its portfolio.

All three Sub Roll flavours are set to launch this month across convenience, travel, education, contract caterer and foodservice channels.

Abigail Ehoff, brand manager at Urban Eat, said: “The food to go sector is showing great signs of recovery with more of us out and about, so we’re delighted to bring our higher-quality sub range to market ahead of a great summer.

“This launch is also just the beginning. We’ve been busy working behind the scenes to take our full portfolio from good to great, and we can’t wait to reveal all soon. Watch this space.”
