THE Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) is inviting its wholesale members to join a funding bid to replace their HGVs for electric and hydrogen powered alternatives.
In partnership with its affiliate member Urban Foresight, the SWA has encouraged fleet operators of 40-44 tonne HGVs to join a consortium that is submitting a funding bid to Innovate UK and the UK Department for Transport’s latest funding competition.
If successful, the consortium will receive £140 million to go towards swapping its members’ fleets of HGVs with electric powered or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
