DANIEL Johnson MSP has been recognised by the Federation of Independent Retailers (NFRN) for his support for the sector.
The Labour MSP received a quaich from the NFRN in recognition of his work on retail crime. Now law, Johnson’s Protection of Workers Act creates a specific offense of physically or verbally abusing a shopworker.
Johnson said: “I created my Bill to keep retail workers safe and remind us all that abuse is never part of the job.”
