SCOTTISH alcohol-free beer brand Days has kicked off 2022 in a strong position – after successfully raising £1 million in funding.
Founded by childhood friends Mike Gammell and Duncan Keith, the alcohol-free beer brand launched in October 2020 and has since secured a slew of listings in premium bars and restaurants across the UK, and through delivery platform Gorillas.
To hit the £1m market, the Scottish duo attracted investors from across the food and drink industry, with notable names including mindful chef founder Giles Humphries, Propercorn founder Ryan Kohn, and former MD of Camden Town, Adam Keary – who has also joined the business as a strategic advisor.
Days Co-founder Mike Gammell, who previously worked at Belgian brewing giant ABInBev, said the pair were excited to “take everything great about beer” and offer it to more consumers and “new occasions.”
“If you map all of the drinking occasions in a week we think there’s actually more opportunities for an alcohol free beer than an alcoholic one,” he said.
