Flower & White has said its bars are low calorie without cutting on portion size.

FLOWER & White has secured a major listing for its low calorie and plant-based chocolate bars, which can now be found in 107 Spar Scotland stores.

The new bars from Flower & White come in two flavours, Double M!lk Chocolate and Chocolate Dipped Strawberry. Both are available in packs of 10 for an RSP of £14.49.

The launch comes at a time of growing popularity for veganism in the UK, with Vegan Food and Living magazine reporting a rise of 31% in vegan chocolate recipe internet searches last year.

Leanne Crowther, Flower & White co-founder, said: “The new vegan bars are designed to appeal to a broad consumer base, including those who are dedicated to following a vegan lifestyle, those who are simply looking for a fabulously indulgent, lighter, and better-for-you snack.”

The bars also highlight the brand’s sustainability credentials, as Crowther explained: “Live lightly and brightly is the brand’s newly unveiled strapline and this relates to one of our key founding principles which is to demonstrate a commitment to playing an active part in preserving the precious finite resources of the planet and to be a socially responsible business.

“Working with fairly paid farmers, shunning palm oil, investing in recyclable paper packaging are examples of this ethos and therefore, the introduction of a vegan offering represents a natural progression for the brand.”
