MARS Chocolate Drinks and Treats is hoping to appeal to fitness conscious consumers with its latest branded protein launch.
Bounty Hi Protein Chocolate and Coconut flavour whey protein powder contains 21g of protein and 147 calories per serving.
Mars has also relaunched its Bounty Hi Protein bar with a new recipe. The bar, which is made with milk chocolate and a layer of desiccated coconut on the top and base, boasts 18g protein and 207 calories.
Michelle Frost of Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats, said demand for coconut-flavoured protein products has gone from strength to strength over the past year. She said: “As the only chocolate brand in the UK containing real coconut, Bounty has a distinctly loyal customer base, with 46% being repeat purchasers.
“With the level of demand for coconut flavoured protein products showing a significant increase in the last year we saw an opportunity to bring to market two new Bounty protein products to complement our growing range, and offer consumers a familiar chocolate coconut brand within the protein market.”
