MAKING use of digital tools can have a major impact on bottom lines according to JTI, and the firm has been touting the benefits of its online platform for convenience retailers.
The tobacco firm’s JTI Advance tool offers retailers a host of resources that can be used across multiple platforms.
Peter Kelleher, JTI digital marketing manager, explained: “JTI Advance acts as an invaluable tool for retailers to support and develop their tobacco and vaping business.
“Available on mobile, tablet and desktop to suit the busy schedules of retailers, it offers key business tools including a margin calculator, training guides, videos, downloadable PDFs and much more.”
Resources available to stores via JTI Advance include news on product developments and up-to-date legislative information, as well as key category insights and, according to Kelleher, 21,000 retailers have signed up to use the service.
The tobacco giant continues to build and develop the platform, with improvements ongoing.
“Most recently, JTI has expanded the content available on Advance by introducing a series of blogs written by retailers, for retailers,” said Kelleher. “This allows other tobacco sellers to learn from their peers on a wide range of issues, not exclusive to tobacco. Topics so far have included the opening of a new store, and using social media to boost your sales.
“The website complements JTI’s face to face contact provided by the expert sales force that continues to deliver personalised advice for individual retailers. During busy periods, retailers are unable to take the time to speak to their JTI rep, so JTI’s 24/7 digital resources are ideal for on-the-go use.”
