HAMILTON-based ice-cream producer Equi’s will now supply more than 270 Co-op stores across Scotland after winning a major contract with the multiple.
The firm will provide two flavours: Double Cream Vanilla and Isle of Skye Sea Salt & Caramel, with sales estimated to exceed over 70,000 units in the first 12 months.
Chris Law, head of sales and marketing at Equi’s Ice Cream, said: “This is our largest such contract.
“It not only builds brand awareness and reach, but grows retail ice cream sales.”
Simon Dryell, head of local sourcing at The Co-op, said:
“We are delighted to work with Equi’s with its mix of history, passion, innovation and quality which goes into its ice cream.
“Not to mention its commitment to sourcing locally wherever possible.”
