Iced coffee options for convenience
SLUSH Machine supplier Snowshock has developed a new iced coffee machine which it reckons will appeal to a broad range of convenience customers.
The new Frappino Iced Coffee is an iced coffee machine available in single and twin drinks dispenser formats, offering retailers a coffee-to-go solution that provides a caffeine hit in a colder format.
Snowshock reckons its new machine plugs a gap in the market for low sugar soft drinks with natural sweetness.
The coffee, which is not subject to the sugar tax as it is classed as milk product, is said to contain just 22 calories per 100ml serving.
Iced coffee is seen as the follow on product to slush drinks for when children become young adults.
And Peter Campbell, managing director of Snowshock, reckons the Frappino machine can help bring younger adult consumers into the coffee category.
He said: “As well as targeting the traditional coffee market, iced coffee is seen as the follow on product to slush drinks for when children become young adults.
“This age group are not taking part in the hot coffee market nearly as much as they do the cold coffee market, a fact known only too well by the coffee chains, hence their strong marketing campaigns for iced coffee particularly in the summer months.
“Launched in 2018, Frappino has a strong following already, with top retailers quoting sales of 40 to 60 drinks per day and 40% POR, they are very happy with their investment too.”
