MSP Daniel Johnson wants to hear retailers’ views on crime

RETAILERS only have a short time left to respond to a consultation on a potential Scottish Parliament retail crime bill.

Former retailer and Edinburgh South MSP Daniel Johnson has been leading a campaign to provide retail workers with additional protection under the law, with the MSP hoping to introduce a private members bill at Holyrood.

Johnson’s proposal has backing from the SGF, SRC, USDAW and others.

The consultation period runs until 20 April and retailers can respond at www.notpartofthejob.com.
