NFL touches down in the UK with Heinz

IT’S hard to get more American than a hotdog with mustard on and Heinz looks to be celebrating that fact by joining forces with the NFL as official mustard sponsor for the American football league in the UK.

Heinz has invested over £400k in its UK NFL campaign, with a big push for the brand on social media through its ‘Ultimate Playbook’ consumer competition.

The playbook competition invites consumers to upload their ‘ultimate play’, which can include food tips and tricks using Heinz Yellow Mustard to create a game day feast. Competition prizes on offer include merchandise bundles, standard and unique access UK game tickets and the grand prize of a trip to the Super Bowl in Minneapolis.

Joel Hughes, senior brand manager for Heinz Yellow Mustard said: “The partnership between our mustard and the NFL in the UK is extremely exciting as it places Heinz Yellow Mustard as the go-to condiment at the NFL games, therefore driving further awareness of the brand and its fantastic taste credentials. “
