Strathmore Foods has reported double-digit growth for its ready meal range, with Kantar Worldpanel figures showing 14% growth for the year to January 2017.
The firm reckons this growth is being driven by the young adult demographic in the convenience sector, with sales of its McIntosh Macaroni Cheese variants, which include Mexicana and Applewood & Simon Howie Bacon on the up.
Julie Nisbet of Strathmore Foods said the firm is “fully aware of the continually increasing importance of provenance within the food and drink sector” and is “proud to offer customers a convenient and tasty product of Scotland”.
