SOCIAL entrepreneur Lord John Bird will be the keynote speaker at the 2016 Scottish Wholesale Association annual conference at Crieff Hydro on 10-12 June.
Lord Bird, who was brought up in an orphanage, served time in a young offenders’ institution and slept rough as one of London’s homeless, founded weekly magazine the Big Issue in 1991.
Other speakers at the conference include: Andrew Selley, chief executive, Bidvest; Stewart Gilliland, non-executive chairman, Booker Group; Craig Stevenson, chief executive, Braehead Foods; and Martin Race, group trading director, Batleys/Bestway.
