JAPAN Tobaco Inc, the giant tobacco company that owns Benson & Hedges, Mayfair, Amber Leaf and many other brands has acquired the Natural American Spirit tobacco business outside of the United States.
The group said Natural American Spirit has a strong international presence in the premium-priced tobacco category.
NAS produces additive-free tobacco both as cigarettes and as rolling tobacco.
JTI UK managing director Daniel Torras said the firm would work closely with Natural American Spirit to enhance the brand’s already strong growth.
