Ginsters is kicking off the new year with the launch of two new limited editions, Chicken Balti and Ham Hock and Piccalilli. The new flavours will launch into the impulse channel from 13 January, for a limited time only.
Ginsters says its limited editions generate excitement and interest in the sandwich category, and the most recent launch will enable retailers to drive incremental sales by offering something new and different to their shoppers.
The Chicken Balti Sandwich is British roast chicken breast in a smokey balti sauce with lightly spiced cumin yoghurt dressing and spinach leaves on malted grain bread. The Ham Hock and Piccalilli Sandwich comprises British pork, mayonnaise with reduced fat and mixed leaves on white bread.
Linda Evans, the company’s sales and marketing director, said: “We have developed our new limited edition sandwiches to provide retailers with something different to offer their shoppers and stimulate interest and variety in the sandwich category. These two new flavours tap into the flavour trends of the moment and appeal to Ginsters fans. Retailers can boost their sandwich sales and potentially attract new shoppers who are looking for special options to trial this January.
“With sandwiches being the number one lunchtime food to go item, we’d recommend retailers take advantage of this opportunity by stocking these two new limited editions at eye level, alongside our other best-selling sandwiches, Ginsters Deep Fill Chicken & Bacon Sandwich, Ginsters Ham & Cheese and Ginsters BLT.”
The new variants will be available from January 13 for a limited period only, with an RRP of £2.99.
