Micro monkey aims to create a TV buzz


RUSTLERS is spending £1m to put a monkey on TV.
The hunger monkey features in the four-week advertising campaign which will run from late November and be backed by social and digital media activity.
Stuart Meikle, Kepak Convenience Foods channel director, said: “The combination of major brand investment and a proven, highly successful creative campaign, with the Satisfy Your Hunger Monkey strapline, will generate a real buzz amongst micro-snackers.”
The push is part of the brand’s five year plan to increase micro-snacking goods’ market penetration by 25%.
Valuing micro snacking at £141m, Meikle said Rustlers is the market leader and is running the campaign on the back of growth that followed the launch of its new paninis and a packaging makeover.
