POTATO firm Albert Bartlett is to support the launch of its first frozen products with TV ads designed to highlight its potato expertise.
Following the purchase of a frozen potato factory in Norfolk the company has started to produce frozen potato products including Homestyle chips and roasts – both use its Rooster potatoes.
Head of marketing Michael Jarvis said: “Albert Bartlett is investing £3m in the marketing campaign including commercials for TV and video on demand.
“There will be two TV commercials, one about Albert Bartlett Homestyle Chips and one about Albert Bartlett Rooster Roast Potatoes.”
Saying that the company currently sells 30m bags of potatoes a year, Jarvis said the new Homestyle Chips will be available in 900g and 1.5kg bags while the frozen Rooster Roasts will be packed in 750g bags.
He said: “We are entering a mature market but one where quality counts.
“We are fresh potato experts and we feel the development of a frozen business is a natural step.
“We sell produce, not products and we have quality control in every step of the process, so these frozen potato lines offer great taste and add quality value for all our loyal customers.”
