FEEDING demand for on-the-go snacking products has been top of the Burton’s Biscuit Company agenda for its recent sweet and savoury biscuit launches.
Its snack pack range includes a 30g Maryland Gooeys twin snack pack, and a 40g bag of bite-size Maryland Choc Chip Cookies, both available as 39p PMPs and in plain packs.
Burton’s Biscuit Company head of customer category management David Costello said: “Sweet biscuits are already the number one choice for snacking in the home, but people have a very limited offer of traditional biscuits when they’re on the move.
“We’ve enabled retailers to plug a gap in the market with our single-serve range.”
Savoury launches include Fish ‘n’ Chips and Cathedral City Baked Bites.
Costello said: “The savoury biscuit brands have been instrumental in driving growth within an area which has traditionally underperformed within impulse.”
