AMBROSIA has put its Devon Dream pouring sauce in a bigger tub and added a resealable lid, to appeal to families who sit down and eat desserts together.
Brand owner Premier Food says that the dessert sauce, which launched in March 2013 in a 260ml pack, is currently worth £2.4m according to SIG. The company expects the new 468ml sharing pot to deliver £2m incremental sales.
Caroline Jary, category marketing director, desserts and home baking, said: “Ambrosia Devon Dream is a unique proposition for the ambient dessert category and contains 80% less fat than single cream.
“It has successfully attracted new consumers to the brand, while increasing usage amongst existing consumers. The new resealability feature of the new 468ml sharing pot offers convenience to the product, allowing consumers to store it in the fridge.”
RRP is £1.39.
