PHILLIPS 66, owner of Jet, has launched what it says is the first consumer-facing Facebook page for a major fuel brand.
The move is designed to increase brand awareness and encourage footfall across its dealer network. The page, went live last month, will also be used to push marketing and promotional activity.
Anne Day, Jet brand communications manager, said: “We have looked at best practice and want to create an environment on Facebook that reflects our greatest strength – our people. Our aim is to build a human face for our brand, to educate, entertain and engage.
“Facebook is also a means of providing additional support to our dealer network, as we can help them to promote their own marketing activity via the page. Some of the Facebook activity will also directly drive footfall onto the forecourts too, which we know will be welcomed by our dealers.”
