READY meals made with Red Tractor Assured meat can now carry a modified version of the scheme’s symbol.
The new “made with” logo is designed for products such as pies and curries, where meat is just one of the ingredients.
Asda began putting the red tractor on chilled beef ready meals last month and other retailers will follow suit.
An IGD poll last year showed that 52% of consumers would be more likely to buy a product with the red tractor logo.
