TANGERINE Confectionery brand Candyland has launched a sour raspberry flavour bon bon sweet.

The company says tangy tasting treats are popular at the moment. It decided to introduce Sour Raspberry Bon Bons, which it describes as soft and chewy with a sour, mouth-watering raspberry flavour, in a 150g £1 price-marked pack.
Quoting Nielsen research for the 52 weeks to 4 January 2014, it said bon bons confectionery sales had grown by 69%. It aims to increase its market share by launching the new line.
Sarah Brown, Candyland senior brand manager, said: “There is an emerging consumer trend for sour-flavoured confectionery and like everything we do, we like to give our customers what they want.
“The launch of the new Sour Raspberry Bon Bons satisfies that demand and we’re confident it will claim a leading position in the market place.”
