DADS and bread are pretty much the same, right? Well they are according to Allied Bakeries brand Kingsmill.
Its new ad campaign features Cold Feet actor John Thomson as a single dad looking for love.
As his daughter and son set up an online dating profile for him, they’re inspired by a 50/50 loaf, labelling their poor dad, “A big softie, tasty, crusty” and “a bit of an all rounder”.
Kingsmill says the ads are designed to show a fresh side to modern family life and will run from now until April.
Darren Grivvell, director of brands at Allied Bakeries, said: “Consumers tell us that the Kingsmill range provides more than simple sustenance – it’s at the heart of keeping the busy family ticking over.”
