Crabbie’s gingers up its flavour range

TWO new fruity flavours have been introduced to give Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer a summer boost.

The brand, which manufacturer Halewood International claims is now the number-one “bottled ale” brand in the UK and the fifth largest bottled brand in the nation’s on-trade fridges, is now available in Raspberry and Strawberry and Lime variants.
Those flavours – in 500ml packs – create, said a spokesperson, “an opportunity to take share from the fruit cider category”.
Both flavours should be drunk over ice, with a slice of lemon, the firm says.
Last year’s innovation, putting Crabbies in a can, is said to have worked well for the drink.
“Offering an extension to the occasionality when Crabbie’s can be enjoyed, this new format was introduced to fulfil a gap in the market amongst 25-50 year old males,” a Halewood spokesperson said.
“It provides a refreshing alternative to other canned brands”.
