The British Sandwich Association has a new Union Jack-based logo, designed to underline the sandwich’s proud British roots.
The new logo is part of the preparations for British Sandwich Week (May 12-18). There will also be a greater point-of-sale presence, consumer competitions and an attempt at a world sandwich-making record. The British Sandwich Industry Awards, – the Sammies – will also take place during the week.
“The logo captures the British heritage of the sandwich and gives it greater impact,” said director Jim Winship. “It also marks a move into consumer marketing which will see greater support for our awards and British Sandwich Week this year.”
