Grooming giant cuts pack size

UNILEVER has shrunk the pack size of its female deodorant brands to reduce the product’s environmental impact. The compressed cans of Sure Women, Dove and Vaseline are 75ml rather than 150ml. They use less gas and 25% less packaging but are said to give the same results as larger sprays.
And for retailers the new packs will take up less shelf space and less storage space.
Marketing manager James Griffin said: “The aerosol format makes up 80% of the total deodorant category and we are the biggest manufacturer. It is our responsibility to improve the environmental impact. The Compressed range will make a real difference.”
All 16 lines in the range are now available in a 75ml compressed version.
The RRPs remain the same.
